Hyaluronic acid

What is it for?

Looking for a way to refresh your face, or to correct something that bothers you, without invasive surgery? Hyaluronic acid injections are one option.

Hyaluronic acid is a substance the body produces naturally; it helps the skin stay hydrated and firm. Injected into specific areas of the face, it can soften wrinkles and fine lines and fill hollows, for a fresher, younger look.

Treatment is quick, generally well tolerated, and calls for no significant recovery time. Results appear within the days that follow and can last up to 12-18 months, depending on the case.

Come and talk it through in consultation to find out more.

Common questions

What to know before you decide.

The injections can be slightly uncomfortable, but they are quick and most patients tolerate them well. An anaesthetic cream is sometimes used to keep any discomfort to a minimum.

Yes. The point of the treatment is to refresh your face or correct what bothers you while keeping the result entirely natural.

How long the effect lasts depends on the area treated, the quantity of hyaluronic acid used and how the individual patient responds. As a rule, results last 6 to 12 months.

The usual side effects are redness, swelling and, occasionally, bruising at the injection site. These settle within a few days.

The areas treated most often are the lips, the cheekbones, the cheeks, smile lines, the nasolabial folds and forehead lines. Hyaluronic acid injections can also be used to improve facial symmetry and to add volume where the face has hollowed.

Certainly. Men benefit from refreshing the face and correcting small irregularities just as much as women do.
