It has been shown to improve the firmness of the skin of the face and neck significantly, reducing the signs of ageing without excisional surgery. Most patients reported high satisfaction, with a mean improvement of 1.4 points on the Baker Face/Neck classification scale, indicating a notable reduction in skin laxity (Dayan et al., 2020).
Yes. Morpheus8 is effective across a range of dermatological conditions, notably skin laxity, acne and scarring. It is a minimally invasive radiofrequency microneedling method, and recovery time is shorter than with more invasive approaches (Hendricks & Farhang, 2022).
You can expect a prickling or mild burning sensation during treatment. A topical anaesthetic is applied beforehand to keep this to a minimum, and most patients find the procedure well tolerated.
Morpheus8 is generally safe, but some side effects have been reported: prolonged swelling (in 4.8% of cases), an area of induration (in 3.2%), and marginal mandibular neuropraxia (in 1.2%). All of these resolved without further intervention (Dayan et al., 2020).
