Facial mesotherapy is an aesthetic treatment that works on the skin of the face, restoring elasticity, firmness and radiance.
It involves injecting small quantities of revitalising products into the dermis in order to stimulate the cells and the collagen and elastin fibres.
The technique is particularly useful against wrinkles, fine lines, dark circles and pigmentation marks.
In only a few sessions, facial mesotherapy can give the skin a younger, brighter look without recourse to surgery.
What is injected during a session of facial mesotherapy varies according to what the patient needs. It may include vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants, plant extracts, enzymes and hydrating agents.
Facial mesotherapy can be slightly uncomfortable, but most patients tolerate it without difficulty. The injections are very fine and shallow.
A session of facial mesotherapy usually takes around 30 minutes. This can vary with the number of areas to be treated and the quantity of product injected.
Most patients need 3 to 6 sessions to get the best out of the treatment. Sessions are usually spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart.
Facial mesotherapy can make a considerable difference, particularly for patients looking to soften the signs of ageing. You can expect firmer, more elastic and brighter skin, along with a reduction in wrinkles, fine lines, dark circles and pigmentation marks. Results last, but they are not permanent: maintenance sessions may be needed to keep them.
