Sparse eyebrows

One of the most exacting transplants: every eyebrow hair has its own direction, and that is what makes the result look natural.

Restoring sparse eyebrows at the Saint-Rémy-de-Provence practice

Eyebrows frame the eyes and carry much of the expression. When they thin, the face often looks more tired or more closed than it is, and daily make-up becomes a chore you would gladly do without.

The causes vary: years of repeated plucking, which eventually exhausts the follicle; thinning with age; alopecia; a scar; the aftermath of certain treatments.

Regular upkeep is needed. As with the beard, transplanted hairs come from the scalp and keep its growth rhythm: they grow longer than an eyebrow hair and have to be trimmed regularly. That is the price of a lasting result, and it is said beforehand.

Available Techniques

The eyebrow transplant

Follicles are taken from the back of the scalp, then implanted one by one into the brow. The practice uses the FUE and DHI techniques.

It is one of the most exacting transplants. Within a single eyebrow, every hair has its own direction: the hairs at the head stand up, those along the body angle outwards, and the whole follows a precise curve. Implanting at the right angle, hair by hair, is what separates an eyebrow that looks natural from one that gets noticed.

The shape, before the procedure

The shape is set in proportion to the face: height of the arch, distance between the eyes, relative symmetry — never perfect, in anyone, and not something to force. The outline is agreed with you before the procedure.

The consultation is where we examine the area, understand what lies behind the thinning, and settle on the shape together.
